It makes sense when people with similar careers are romantically involved — they fully understand the lifestyle and know how to best be there for one another (or so I hope). The same goes for two athletes who are not only dating, engaged, or married to each other but also competing in this year's Paris Olympics. I would love to be a fly on the wall during dinner time with two Olympians in love.
Here are 11 current Olympian couples who will compete in their respective sports at the 2024 Paris Olympics:
1. Hunter Woodhall and Tara Davis-Woodhall first met in 2017 at a high school track meet. Fate brought them back together years later as they got engaged after the 2020 Olympics and Paralympics and married two years later, in October 2022.
2. Track and field athletes Noah Lyles and Junelle Bromfield have been dating for about two years. World Championship, Noah is repping Team USA, while World and Olympic medallist Junelle is competing for Jamaica.

Lee said she and Gerek often train together and don’t have much work-life balance in their lives. This will be the couples' fourth Olympics together.
4. After eight years of dating, Olympic medalist racer Alise Willoughby and racer Sam Willoughby got engaged in 2015.

Sam had a devastating crash while training in 2016, which ended his career. Alise didn't leave his side, and although he is no longer racing, now he is his wife's coach. This will be Alise's fourth Olympic game.
5. Judo stars Gabriella Willems, a five-time IJF Grand Slam medallist, and two-time World medallist Christian Parlati are a couple who will compete at this year's Olympics on the same day.

This will be Christian's second Olympic games and Gabriella's first (she got injured before the Tokyo Olympics). "We've supported each other for seven years, and sharing this moment is a dream come true," Gabriella told Olympics.
7. Lea Schüller is competing for the first time at the Paris Olympics with the German women's soccer team, while her partner, Lara Vadlau will also be competing this year.

Edward is an Olympic bronze medalist, and Hans is an Olympic silver medalist. This is the couples' third Olympic Games.
10. Slovak racewalkers national championship winners Dominik Černý and Hana Burzalova got engaged last summer after the World Athletics Championship.

The couple plans on getting married once the Paris Olympics are over.
11. And finally, Italian fencing athlete and Olympic silver and bronze medalist Rossella Fiamingo is dating Olympic gold medal swimmer Gregorio Paltrinieri. The two will both be competing in Paris.

The two are each other's biggest support systems. Just after competing in the 2023 World Swimming Championships, Gregorio landed in Italy, dropped off his bags, and headed back to the airport to fly to watch his girlfriend compete in the Fencing World Championships.
"Rossella didn't know, she was shocked. She asked me last night, and I told her I was exhausted..." he told Olympics.
